Regular commuter services run from London Kings Cross and Liverpool Street to Cambridge, Stansted Airport and Ipswich where onward connections by rail or road can be made to Newmarket.
The first train to leave Cambridge on Sunday 23 September is at 10.30am (the web site indicates that part of this journey will be by bus) arriving at Newmarket at 11.10am. The next train from Cambridge is not until 13.12pm, arriving at 13.33pm.
The first train from the Ipswich direction also has a bus warning, and arrives at 10.25am. The second train arrives at 12.25pm.
Trains to Cambridge leave Newmarket at 16.01pm, 18.01pm and 20.01pm. Trains to Ipswich leave at 13.34pm, 17.34pm and 19.34pm.
Buses will operate from The Avenue to the Racecourse between 12.00pm and 13.30pm, and between the racecourse and Newmarket Railway Station between 17.00 and 18.00.
